Honoring Juneteenth by Supporting Reproductive Access for All
Juneteenth, celebrated on June 19th, marks the day in 1865 when the last enslaved African Americans learned of their freedom — over two years after the Emancipation Proclamation was signed. It’s both a celebration of progress and a reminder of the continued journey toward equality.
In the realm of reproductive healthcare, access and outcomes still vary among different communities. Studies show that Black women often face greater challenges related to infertility and maternal health outcomes. Organizations such as The Cade Foundation, Fertility for Colored Girls, and The Broken Brown Egg are helping close these gaps by providing resources and support to families who need it most.
At An Eggceptional Match, we’re proud to be part of this effort. We actively:
- Recruit and support diverse egg donors and surrogates
- Work to expand access across the fertility industry
- Share and support stories from communities historically underrepresented in fertility care
This Juneteenth, we honor progress and commit to continued inclusivity and support for all who dream of building a family!
