At An Eggceptional Match, we believe every gestational carrier deserves a compensation package that truly reflects her time, energy, and heart. Your compensation is always fair, transparent, and thoughtfully tailored to your individual journey.
There’s no one-size-fits-all approach-because every experience, every pregnancy, and every surrogate is unique!
At An Eggceptional Match, we believe clarity and transparency are essential to a positive surrogacy experience. That includes ensuring you feel fully informed about the financial aspects of your journey. Our goal is to help you move forward with confidence, support, and a clear understanding of what to expect.
Below, you’ll find a comprehensive overview of our fee structure to guide you through your gestational carrier journey.
Base compensation is the primary amount you receive for your time, effort, and dedication throughout the surrogacy journey. This payment is separate from any additional reimbursements or allowances-such as maternity clothing, travel, childcare, or medical-related expenses.
Compensation generally begins once a clinical pregnancy is confirmed and is then distributed in eight monthly installments over the course of the pregnancy, unless alternative arrangements are outlined in your Gestational Carrier Agreement.
Starting a surrogacy journey includes multiple steps and each one is supported with scheduled reimbursements, totaling more than $7,000 before pregnancy is even confirmed.
These may include:
- Monthly Non-Accountable Stipend: Provided to cover incidental expenses such as gas, prescriptions, parking, notary fees, and other minor costs throughout the journey.
- Cycle Evaluation Stipend: Paid upon completion of your medical workup and screening appointments.
- Medication Start Stipend: Issued when you begin injectable medications in preparation for the embryo transfer.
- Embryo Transfer Fee: Paid for each completed embryo transfer cycle to help offset lost wages, childcare, and related expenses.
- Fetal Heartbeat Confirmation Stipend: Paid once pregnancy is confirmed by fetal heartbeat.
These variable expenses will be fully detailed and agreed upon in your individual Gestational Carrier Agreement (GCA). However, the stipends listed below represent those most commonly agreed upon:
- Multiple Birth Compensation
- Supplying Breast Milk
- Carrier Lost Wages
- Spouse Lost Wages
- Housekeeping Stipend (begins at week 28)
